9 Weeks to go

Only 9 weeks left until my due date. I am so excited. I can’t wait to hold this little guy. He has been very active this week. Some times he kicks hard enough to make me a little queezy. I have to go in for a check up today. The boys get to go with me. I am hoping they will want to hear the babies heart beat.

Not much to report on the sewing front. I made two blocks this week for a swap. Now that I am feeling better I am trying to get my house back in order.

Saturday I am hosting a banquet at church for our elderly members. We are expecting about 150 people to show up. I just got off the phone from ordering the food. I ordered the decorations from where my hubby works. Birthday Direct. They have great decorations for parties.

I have had a lot of people leave comments this week. Great job. Someone is going to win a great fat quarter. And believe it or not I already have one picked out for next week. Now I just have to find the batteries for the camera to take a picture. Happing Sewing.

Rocky Mountain Quilt Works

A few years ago I met a wonderful lady named Tina through some swaps. She recently started her own quilt shop on line. She has some great deals on fabrics, patterns, and notions. Right now her kits are 40% off. She adds new stuff all the time. Go check it out.

Holy Moly, I have how many UFO’S…

Through my blog hopping adventures I have seen many quilters who have listed their UFO’s. I thought I should do that some day. I haven’t really had the time. Today while I was sitting around and feeling some what better I decided to actually list and count my projects. I am ashamed to admit that I have only been sewing and making quilts for 4 1/2 years and I have accumulated 39 UFO’s. 8 are complete tops. 16 are projects that all the blocks are made they just need to be made into tops. And 15 are WIP. These numbers are crazy to me. I thought I had about 20. Never close to 40. So can you tell where my ADD takes over during the quilt making process. It seems that I like to make  a lot of blocks and worry about tops later. I am still amazed at my lack of commitment when it comes to finishing a project. So now I have to convince myself not to start any new projects until I finish some of my UFO’S.

Sunday update….

Thank you all for such kind words. It means a lot to know that there are other bloggers and quilters wishing me well. I feel a little better today. I am wishing I had the energy to sew. I feel lost with out making things. My recliner has definitely become my best friend.

Sue C. I am sorry to here about your accident. I am sending prayers your way. I hope you get better soon.

Fat Quarter Friday – Blue Floral#2

Hello everyone,

This has been a rough week for me. I have been sick with the Flu for the last few days. Now I have the left overs of a nasty cold. Major congestion that I just can’t seem to get rid of and a sore throat from cough my brains out. Today I am feeling a little better. I was actually able to get out of the recliner and do some laundry. The pile gets bigger everyday. My family is going to start running out of clean things to wear. LOL. My oldest was down with the Flu too. He seems to have recuperated very well. Oh to be young again. So here is this weeks fat quarter. I am going to offer another fat of the blue floral from last week. Everyone seemed to really like it. So good luck and happy commenting.
