Finished Goose Creek Quilt

Yesterday I got the goose creek quilt back in the mail. I had sent it to my mother in-law Judy to quilt it. She has a long arm quilt machine. It turned out beautifully. I love it so much I don’t want to give it over to the person I made it for. Now i can officially cross it off the UFO list. YEAH.

30′s Churn Dash

Not much sewing has gone on this week. I have been busy running errands, going to the doctor, a baby shower, and a gospel meeting at church. Tuesday evening my creative writing class threw me a baby shower. We played some great games and had a blast. I got some great things for the baby. We are definitely blessed. The gospel meeting was awesome. Each night we had two different speakers. The speakers were teenagers from the local bible school. They all did outstanding jobs. It is inspiring to hear such great sermons from such young Christians.

Heres a picture of the block I made today. I made 4 of them.

Today is the last day to leave me a comment and try to win the kitten fat quarter. Good luck.

Here is the fish top I have mentioned in recent posts. The block is called Prairie Queen. I was lazy with the alternating square blocks. I appliquéd the square on instead of cutting up all the fabric and sewing it all back together. See what being 35 weeks pregnant does to you. LOL. It still looks nice and gave the look I wanted with out taking away from the other blocks.  I am going to keep this one for the kids. I love the fish material. Now all I have to do is put a border on it and sandwich it.

We have had a lot of comments left this week. Good job everyone and thanks for looking at my blog. Today is the last day for leaving comments to be entered into fat quarter Friday. good luck to you all.

Crocheted Baby Blanket

Sunday was my baby shower at church. We are truely blessed to have such a wonderful, giving church family. They went above and beyond for us. I counted gifts from 32 people. It was so much fun. Wounld’t you know that I forgot the memory card for my camera. My sister in-law Mary was there and thankfully brought hers. She took a ton of pictures for me. I haven’t gotten them from her yet. As soon as I do I will post some pictures. I received a fabulous crocheted baby blanket from a lovely lady named Jane B. It is so soft. It is very precious. I can’t wait to wrap my little bundle of joy in it. I thought everyone would like to see a picture of it.

Of course Joshua couldn’t be left out. He wanted his picture taken with the baby blanket too. He is too cute.

Today I sewed some fish blocks together and made a top. I will take a picture of it tomorrow and share. I was too tired to fool with it tonight. By the evening I am exhausted. God bless and happy sewing.
