It has been a day…

Man why are Mondays so unpleasant? Andrew didn’t fall asleep until 2am. We watched quite a bit of HGTV. This seems to be the norm. Atleast I got to watch Design Star at 12am. I usually miss it Sunday evening. He slept okay after that. Got up every 2 1/2 hours. Which is good for him. Saturday evening he was up every 1 to 1 1/2 hours. That extra hour makes the world of a difference.

Joshua is showing his butt today. He doesn’t want to listen. So he got sent to his room. Then he ended up getting grounded for throwing things and screaming at me. He came out to go to the bathroom. A few minutes later he comes out and tells me that the toilet is messed up. He unrolled the roll of toilet paper into the bowl and tried to flush it. Thanks Josh. Now I have an over flowing toilet. It took almost every towel in the house to dry up the floor. Thank God he didn’t go #2. Ugh.

So what else, may I ask is going to happen today?

Here are three blocks I have managed to make in the last two days. They are for swaps.

Doesn’t he look happy? LOL. Today we went to the park. We met a lady that is a photographer there. She took pictures of the kids. It was so much fun. She has a little girl a month older than Andrew. I’m not sure they knew what to think of each other. It was the first baby he has seen since he left the hospital. It was cute watching them check each other out.

Yesterday I bought some blue fabric for the sashing of the T-shirt quilt I am working on.  Hopefully I can get the sashing on that tomorrow.

Nine Patch Quilt

Here is my latest finish. I received it in the mail today from my wonderful mother in-law. She long arm quilts.  They were her right after Andrew was born. I sent it home with her. This is the second quilt I have actually made for myself. It is just a little small for my queen size bed but it will be great to cuddle under. LOL. The nine patches are from swaps from 2 online quilting groups that I belong to.

Andrew is 2 months old today. He is getting so big. He loves to sit up and check life out around him. He is starting to droll and chew on his fist. He is a cutie.

Here is this weeks Fat quarter. Good Luck and happy commenting. I will pick a winner next Friday. Enter as many times as you can between now and then.

Andrew 8 weeks old

Today my youngest baby is 8 weeks old. Where has the time gone? The first few weeks seemed like they dragged on. I assume that is because of the pain and sleepless nights. We are getting a wee bit more sleep and the pain is gone. Thank the Lord. I am so thankful to be here and have such a wonderful family. I am truly blessed.

T-Shirt Quilts

I got a call from a friend yesterday wanting me to make a couple t-shirt quilts. I made one for her daughter a couple years ago using her gymnastic shirts. I haven’t made anything for profit in a while. I need to go to the store for some stabilizer and other materials. Here is a picture of the one I made already.
