200th Post Winners

Sue R. was picked to win the table runner.

Brenda A won the Moda flannel charm pack.

Cathy won the fabric postcard.

200th Post

It is hard to believe that I have reached 200 posts in less than 9 months. Where has the time gone? So I have decided to give away three items. For the 1st prize I made a Batik table runner. It measures 9 1/2 x 22 inches.

Here is the back.

Here is what 2nd place will get. A Moda Flannel Charm pack.

3rd place will get this fabric postcard I made.

I will announce the winners on Monday morning. So leave me a comment between now and Monday morning. Good luck.

Update on Kids

Our appointment went well. Joshua is good to go. His sty is going away. Andrew’s ear is all better but he is still rattling in his chest. They did an x-ray and it was clear. So they gave him a breathing treatment and I have to do them at home. Hopefully in the next few days the rattle will be gone.

I was able to sew these blocks together  this morning while Andrew took a little nap. Nine patches seems to fly together. Too bad all quilt blocks aren’t so quick. :)

Today is the last day to leave a comment for the fat quarter I am giving away in the morning. Here is another look at it.

Andrew Rolled Over

Way to go Andrew. Last night he rolled over all the way for the first time.

Look at that drool. LOL. Too cute. Here he is giving Elmo hugs.

Free Motion Quilting & Fabric Postcards

Today I took the plunge and tried free motion quilting. I have had the foot for a while. So I got a scrap block and practiced.

Can anyone who quilts with a machine suggest why I am getting a little loopy on the back. Is my tension to tight or loose? It was hard trying to keep the fabric moving.

I also did this postcard.

My oldest son Tyler wanted to make a postcard. So he went through my scraps and sewed these pieces together. Not too bad. I did the rest of the work for him.
