I made two of these blocks for a swap today.

We have lived in our house for about 1 1/2 years now. We have been wanting to paint but I was pregnant and we just haven’t had time sense I had Andrew. I started in the bathroom yesterday. I was supposed to take before pictures. About 15 minutes into it I realized I forgot. So you can see the paint color in the second picture. It reminds me of coffee with cream. I still need to put on the second coat. We are going to paint the cabinets a darker brown.

As much as I want to be selfish and not tell everyone about this give away I just have to. Heather @ Vintage Girl is giving away a RJR Charm pack and some 30’s fat quarters. Go check and see. Tell her I sent ya.
Today has turned out to be a coffee day for me. I am so tired. I hope it wakes me up. It is raining. Making it even harder for me to get motivated. I wanna just crawl back in bed and sleep all afternoon.
We went to Lowe’s last night and bought some paint and a palm sander. We are going to start in the bathroom. Yesterday I was scrapping and prepping for sanding and painting. When they built the house they wall papered the bathroom. Someone was lazy and stuccoed right over it. Except they were too lazy to take the fixtures and mirror off of the wall. So we had to do a little plaster work to make it look right. It was dry this morning. I am going to sand down the cabinets today. Yippee. Anyone want to help?

We had spagetti for supper Monday. Andrew sure made a mess.

Here he is being a big boy drinking out of his sippy cup.

I love this picture because you can really see his hair. He doesn’t have much.

My little man wanted his picture taken too. He is getting so big.
My hubby had the truck towed home Monday evening. The guy looked under the truck and said the oil filter was gone. So now we know what happened. It is just our luck. It worked its way off. I am just glad we still had the other car for Tim to drive. I took it yesterday and got new tires. Last night he had to put a new coil of some sort on it. One more thing to add to the drama. LOL. The dishwasher quit working mid cycle. Woe is me.
We are still alive and kicking. That is a lot to be thankful for.
On the Farm Quilting is having a 50% off sale. Even on their sale fabric. You can get Moda marbles for $3.50 a yard. I wish I wasn’t on a tight budget. I could easily spend hundreds of dollars on their beautiful prints. Woe is me.
Life has been, well normal with a few twists and turns of course. I am finding it hard to write this post. I am not a complainer for the most part. I feel like God has blessed us so much that I shouldn’t complain. It would be ungrateful. My life is good and there and many people out there that have it a lot worse than I do. With that said, Friday Tim’s blazer broke down. I had supper just about finished when he called. He needed rescuing. He was on his way home from work. He heard a clicking sound, lost oil pressure, and then it stalled. A nice man stopped and helped him get it out of the road. We think the engine locked up. Poor Tim. He was so defeated and upset. This poor truck has rung him through the ringer. He said he has had enough. Remember that movie the money pit. Well this truck is a money pit. He is tired of putting money into it. So I’m not sure what he is going to do with it. We have a car he can drive. It just needs some maintenance done on it. New tires, brake pads. We took it this weekend and got new plugs and wires in it. It just always seems to be something. So I guess I am done complaining now.
Joshua had a basketball game Saturday. They won. His team has won all four games so far. I signed him up for soccer at the YMCA. That will start in April. He love playing sports.
Yesterday we had Friends day at church. We were supposed to invite people to church. It stinks living somewhere where you don’t have family or friends to invite. All of our friends all ready go to our church. LOL. We had a great meal. I made a pork roast, sauerkraut and hot dogs, and a cake. We ate way too much.
Andrew has 4 molars coming in at one time. He is sleeping right now. He is so cranky. He woke up in the middle of the night whining and chewing on his hand. Poor guy. It won’t be long before he is walking. He is pulling himself up on everything. Pulling everything off of the coffee and end tables. Little stinker. He thinks it is fun. He is fast too. He can get from one end of the house to the other almost as fast as we can. He will be 1 year old on April 25th. It is hard to believe that. This year has gone by so fast. My baby is almost 1.
Yesterday I took this baby off of the wall in my sewing room and finished it. I didn’t take long to quilt it. It was so much fun too. I think I am growing to love the finishing process as much as making the top. This is the first quilt I have free motion quilted. I have done one table runner which is now on Josh’s dresser. I am so excited. It feels great to have gotten it done. There are a couple puckers on the back. I crossed over a few lines here and there. I am not trying to be perfect. I like the messiness of it. Very cute. I am donating it to the Mountain Baby Blankets project.
