Saturday my husband and I went to an estate sale in our neighborhood. As we walked from room to room looking for hidden treasures I came across a sewing box and an old singer sewing machine. The sewing box reminded me of the one my mother had in our house growing up. I opened it up and it was filled with all kinds of wonderful notions. Lace trim unopened from the 1970′s, unopened thread, buttons, and two paper measuring tapes. I was oohing and ahhing enough that Tim said he would buy it for me. I was so excited. Like a kid in the candy store. I wish I had my camera to take a picture of the machine. If it had worked my husband was going to buy it for me.Isn’t he a doll.
WoW! What a great find! I love those style sewing baskets. It’s great that Hubby noticed you looking at it.
GREAT FIND
that is an awesome treasure trove and even the box itself its well worth it! woohoo! xoxo melzie
This is so cool. I have a similiar one, but not legs. I got it years and years ago…..I should clean it out and put cute stuff like buttons in it. Your button collection just got a bonus…I love the old buttons.
Wow! It’s beautiful! Tim is so sweet! I’m glad you did get it. I don’t know what I was thinking it was when you told me of it, but it’s beautiful! I would have had to have it too!
I love your new sewing box and the goodies inside.
