Just an sample of a few things that I have been working on this week. I had a few Etsy orders for some Christmas hand towels. I embroidered names on stockings. I attempted my first ITH coaster. It turned out pretty good and wasn’t all that scary to make. (Big Smiles). I get nervous trying new patterns. I don’t know why. It took me a few months just to get my embroidery machine out of the box. I was so nervous that I was going to screw something up. And I know those babies aren’t cheap. My next new project is an ITH eye glasses case that is an owl. I need to get a certain stabilizer first. It should be interesting. Wish me luck!
I love love love getting goodies in the mailbox. I used to participate in a lot of swaps so I was frequently getting little surprises. Not so much any more. I had to sale way back when Andrew came along. This picture is my latest purchase from Etsy. I am trying to build up a small stash of Chevron Fabric.
The yellow polka dot and purple chevron fabric are for a t-shirt dress that I am working on.
These are pictures of a few of the items I have stitched out recently. My Janome is getting lots of love.
I stitched out this shirt for Andrew last night. They are having an Easter party tomorrow at preschool. I love the chocolate bunny with raggy ears and a tail. The brown fabric has letters on it. The bunny applique design is from Applique Alley.I also stitched out this cross for a mug rug. I love the pink and black color combo. I am thinking of making a mini log cabin block to go with it in pink and black. The cross was designed by Applique Momma.
I put this applique and embroidery design together today using Embird. I am going to stitch it onto a shirt for Andrew. The astronaut applique design is from Applique Frenzy. The planet and stars are a free design from the net. The embroidery font is also from Applique Frenzy. It is called Giggles and Grins. Applique Frenzy was recommended on Facebook by Applique Alley. (Whom I LOVE by the way.) I have a ton of her designs. Seriously, too many.
I made this Alabama Christmas ornament using a circle tag applique design from Applique Momma. I added the A from a design I already had. I used my Janome 350e Embroidery Machine to stitch it out.
I did a practice run with a fringe giraffe applique design that I purchased from Applique Alley. I love her applique designs. I was worried about ripping out the bobbin stitches to get the fringe look. It was easier than I thought it would be. I love how it turned out. Now I am ready to sew it on a burp cloth. She is having a sale right now. The designs are .87 to $1.00.
I love this embroidery and applique design. I first stitched it on a shirt for Andrew. Today I stitched it on a burp cloth.
I found a little time for some embroidery and applique today. I appliqued a lady bug from Applique Alley on a burp cloth today. I also embroidered one on a bib. They are too cute.
Oh and I embroidered this Christmas design on a hand towel the other day. I am thinking it will definitely be hanging up this Christmas.
I appliqued and embroidered this shirt for Andrew Saturday evening for him to wear to church yesterday. He looked so cute. Of course I couldn’t get him to let me take a picture of him with it on. Maybe next time.
I got this embroidery and applique design from Applique Alley. Tested it out tonight on a shirt for Andrew. He said he wants to wear it to church.
