Wow I can’t believe I am so close to losing 20 pounds. It is an amazing feeling to step on the scale and watch it go down instead of up. Thanks to God and the Setting Captives Free program The Lords Table. I am on my way to being the best me yet, physically and spiritually.

The boys have chicken pox. All three of them. It makes me think of when my friend and I had the chicken pox at 15 during spring break. Her brother had them the week before. My mom and I went on a trip to VA to visit my uncle. I felt awful the whole drive up. The next day I was covered in chicken pox. It was awful. Definitely something I will never forget. I think I have a picture some where.

Yesterday was Andrew’s birthday. We had a little party for him on Saturday. I accidentally put a number 1 on his cupcake. When I went to light it, I looked at it like wait am minute. I guess I just don’t want my baby to grow up. He loved it when everyone sang happy birthday. It was so cute.

My thoughtful hubby gave me a pot of Hyacinth on Easter day. Yesterday I got a half dozen red roses at Tim’s change of command ceremony. I was surprised. It was a happy and bitter sweet occasion.

After almost 16 years we finally took the plunge and bought ourselves a new bed, night stands, a mattress, an ottoman, and bed linens. It was so exciting shopping with Tim to pick out our stuff together. We very rarely go shopping together. Usually I shop during the day while he is at work.

We bought a memory foam mattress from Sam’s Club. We slept on it last night for the first time. We had to let it expand completely before sleeping on it. Tim slept like a baby. I tossed and turn a bit. I think I just need to get used to it. When I woke up I didn’t have a backache. That was wonderful. I have a memory foam pillow. Tim gave it to me two Christmas’s ago. I love it.

We went to 8 stores looking for a new comforter set for the bed. Of course the last place we went is where we found one we really liked. We saw one at Belk’s that was pretty, as well as pretty expensive. In the end we passed on it. It was dry clean only. Way to much maintenance for me.We still need to paint the room, makes curtains, and recover the ottoman.

The ottoman has beetles on it. We got it really cheap. We are going to buy some material to recover it soon.

I went this morning and got highlights in my hair. It has been brown for 8 years. Time for a change.

Joshua made me this card for Valentine’s day. It was just so cute that I had to share it.

I received a very pretty card in the mail today from my Gramma Geri. She is an artist. I wanted to share her artwork with you too.

Joshua lost his second tooth today. It has been hanging on very stubbornly for a while. Now he gets a visit from the tooth fairy.
