Cardinal Wall Hanging

I made this wall hanging for a swap on My Quilting Buddies. The theme was bird/birdhouse. I found the bird panel on ebay and fell in love with it. I just love cardinals and sunflowers. I so wanted to keep it for myself. I used some multi colored thread to quilt the leaves, around the bird, colander, and the bird house.

I also finished this UFO table runner.

Cuddle Teddy Flannel Baby Quilt

I finished this baby quilt this morning. It is so cute. I washed it once and it has ruffled up pretty good. It is so soft and cuddly. The material is flannel and made by Henry Glass. They have the pattern for free on the website under the New Projects Link. It was pretty easy. You can buy a special cutter to cut the slits. However it is $30 at Hancock. You can find it cheaper on Ebay. I just used my sharpest scissors. My hand got a little tired.  I had to take a break. I just love how it turned out. Thanks Gram for asking me to make this.

“Seeing Spots”, Quilts for Kids

Here is the quilt I made for the Quilts for Kids program. They sent me the kit. All I had to do was provide the batting and sew the quilt together. I named the quilt- Seeing Spots. I love the dog fabric. I hope it keeps a child nice and warm.

Crib Sized Memory Quilt

I finished this memory quilt today for a customer. The striped blocks are a very old baby quilt. I had to quilt it onto a piece of fabric so that when I cut it up it wouldn’t fall apart. The yellow in the nine patches are from baby clothes as is the white with the little orange dogs.

Love Wall Hanging

I posted recently about a WIP. It is now finished. It took me a day to really think about where I wanted to go. My original vision just wasn’t panning out. Usually I don’t have this problem. A BIG Thank you to those of you who posted helpful ideas. I went kind of quilting crazy on it though. It is for a swap partner who lives in Oklahoma. I hope she loves it.

Charmed Table Runner and Coaster

I made this table runner and set of drink coasters for dear friends from church. Justin is our youth minister and song leader. His fiance Sylvia teaches the little kids too. They are a sweet young couple whom I wish many years of happiness. Her bridal shower was yesterday. I started to make a quilt but just didn’t have time to work on it. It is much easier to make smaller projects. Maybe i will still be able to make that quilt before they get married on December 22nd.

Mini Art Quilt

I made this mini art quilt for a swap on Swap-Bot. The swap was for beginners. I decided to use a fall colors and add a silk flower to it. I’m not sure why, but this has become something I like to do. Maybe because I have a bag full of silk flower cast offs from where I used to work. I was going to make a quilt with them and just haven’t gotten around to it.

The finished quilt is about 6 1/2 inches square. I used black thread to add some detail to the leaves in the nine patch blocks.
