Sick Baby Update
I took Andrew to the doctor today. He has an ear infection in both ears and an upper RI. They have come to the conclusion that my little guy has Asthma. Every time he gets a cold he ends up getting an upper RI. So her will have to have a breathing treatment once every day. When he is sick he has to have it four times a day. They gave him an antibiotic and a steroid. Hopefully he will start feeling better tomorrow. He has been so unhappy. His nose has been running. He is congested. And his fever just doesn’t want to go completely away. The last two nights have been rough for us both. Tuesday evening I had him sleeping in his infant car seat so that he was propped up. He woke up crying about once an hour. I had to lay on the floor next to his seat and rock him back to sleep. Last night he didn’t want to go to sleep. It was 1:30am before he fell asleep. Then he woke up at 4:30 and then again at 7:30. We slept on the living room floor until 4:30 and then I put him in his car seat and I got on the couch. We fell asleep watching TV. Hopefully tonight will be better. My back is killing me. I am so ready for a full nights sleep.
1 commentOur Christmas Tree
Here is our tree. We decorated it Saturday. Believe it or not I still have ornaments in the box. We have so many. This year the kids, Tim, and my dad put most of the ornaments on. I did a little rearranging once it was over.
Yes those boxes under the tree are empty. It looks so much better with stuff under it.
Here is a picture of my cranky baby. He is getting three teeth on the top. I keep calling him rolie polie. He is rolling all over the place. But he doesn’t want to roll back the other way.

Andrew was trying to share his food with mommy. I gave him a teething biscuit and boy he made a mess.
The boys were playing video games the other day and Andrew fell asleep sitting between Tyler’s legs. So they all wanted to pretend to be asleep for the picture.
2 commentsHoliday Ramblings
Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions? Do you stay home and cook or go visit relatives?
We unfortunately live 8 hours away from my husbands family and 18 away from mine. So we are usually home for the holidays. My brother in-law and his family live here. Mary and I usually plan a meal together that way one person isn’t doing all the cooking. This year for Easter Mary did all the cooking because I was 9 months pregnant. So for Thanksgiving this year I cam doing the cooking. I am looking forward to planning and making a big meal. At the same time I am a little nervous. I guess that is normal for us younger people who don’t have years of experience or tried and true family recipes. My husband wants me to make cornbread dressing from scratch. When he told me that I got very nervous. I have tried for years to make cornbread that is awesome and just never have gotten it right. I am from Florida. My parents are from the North. Cornbread and soup beans weren’t a staple in our house like it is for most people who live south of the Mason Dixon line. This week I searched for recipes for cornbread. I made a few and think I have come up with a good recipe for cornbread. I made a call to my good friend Trish to get her recipe for cornbread dressing. She is from Alabama and has all those southern family recipes that she doesn’t mind sharing. Today I made a batch for my husband to take to work tomorrow. They are having a Thanksgiving lunch tomorrow. So hopefully it is good and I don’t kill anyone. Knowing him if it is good he will want me to make it regularly. So wish me luck.
The only thing other than turkey and dressing that is a Thanksgiving day must at our house is pecan pie. What are the musts at your house?
Oh Andrew got two more teeth on the top. He will look like a vampire. The front top haven’t appeared but the two next to them have.
9 commentsAndrew Sat Up….
Tonight Andrew sat up by himself. He was able to stay up right for a few minutes before he leaned to the side and fell over. It was so cute. He is growing up so fast. I sat behind him on the floor for about 30 minutes and he sat there and played. Where has the time gone? He will be 7 months old on the 25th.
1 commentAppliqued Lilies
I started this project 2 years ago. It is a UFO that I have been wanting to working on and just haven’t had the time. I appliqued the lilies on to super muslin using wonder under. I decided that I wanted to hand embroider the stitching. Whew. That is part of the reason it took me so long to do it. There are 8 flower blocks. 2 orange, 2 yellow, 2 red, and 2 dark red. I have some Lily material that I had bought at hobby lobby that has the same color flowers in it. I am going to use it for the sashing and border.
Here is picture of Andrew from last night. He was sitting with Tim on the couch watching The Office. He was getting sleepy. They looked so cute. Tim drinks coffee almost constantly. Andrew has discovered the cup and wants to drink it too. He will put both little hands on the cup and bring it up to his mouth. He knows what to do. It is so amazing how quickly they learn how to do things.
4 commentsHalloween Trick or Treat Bags
I whipped these up tonight for my children. They are made out of orange felt. I can’t believe how easy they were. The ghost is made from white craft foam. I hot glued them to the felt. Then I glued on google eyes.
Today Andrew atempted to hold his bottle. He held it for about 30 seconds. He keeps trying to stick his finger in his mouth and suck on it while he is sucking the nipple. Silly boy.
3 comments5 Months Old
Andrew was 5 months old yesterday. I also discovered his first tooth is barely poking through. It is the bottom front on the right. The one right next to it is visible but not through yet. Poor little guy. He is a drooling fool.
Isn’t that the most adorable smile?

No commentsJosh Scored a Goal
Saturday was Joshua’s 2nd soccer game. It was rather cool and windy outside. It had rained the night before so the ground was wet too. Joshua scored the second goal for his team. It is so much fun to watch these adorable children chase a black and white ball around the feild. They don’t have the rules or techniques down yet. So they all swarm the ball at once. It is too cute.
Here is a picture of Andrew being silly. We were playing with a wet wash cloth.
