Double Irish Chain Revisited

I recently had an email in my inbox from a lovely lady who wanted to know the name of the pattern for this quilt.

It is called a Double Irish Chain. I originally made it for my mother in a queen size. She bought a bigger bed and it didn’t fit so she sent it to my brother. I hope he is keeping warm under this beauty.

Kentucky Fabric Ornament

I made this Christmas ornament for my hubby as a gift. He loves Kentucky basketball. I try to get him an ornament each year that has some meaning behind it. I’m so glad that he liked it.

Quilting Gallery’s Summertime Mini Quilt Swap

Here is my mini quilt for the Summertime Mini Quilt Swap. My friend Laura showed me a pattern on how to do a stained glass quilt. So I made up my own design. It turned out ok. So imagine you are looking out a stained glass window. This is what you see. LOL.

Work In Progress – Cowboy Quilt

I started a baby blanket for my cousin’s son two years ago. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to finish it. It is one of those projects that I have felt some guilt over not finishing. Terrance isn’t a baby anymore so I had to add to the original blanket to make it bigger. I had to think about what I wanted to do to it for a few days. I don’t have anymore of the cowboy material so I wasn’t sure what exactly I was going to do. I just know that I didn’t want to scrap it and start over. Here is it before adding to it.

After some much needed sewing, yesterday it was turned into this.

I think to finish it off I am going to add some 4 patches to the top and bottom and then a dark blue border.

Double Irish Chain Quilt Top

Here is my progress on the double irish chain quilt that I am making for my mother. I managed to get 5 blocks done this weekend. I need 36 blocks. They are 15 inch blocks. The material is a blender.
