Mary taught me how to do french knots so I went a little crazy. This block is in a quilt I am making. I will show pictures of that once it is finished and the recipient gets it. Don’t want to spoil the suprise.

First I just have to say that this is my 174th post, so it won’t be much longer until I have my 200th post give away. Hum what shall I give. Gotta think of some thing good.

I have been playing around with making different patterns for a baby doll. Here is what I have come up with so far. I have named her Hope. As in hoping for a better tomorrow for all our babies. She measures roughly 9 1/2 inches tall and the bottom measures about 6 inches wide. The print I used for this one is a cat print. The cats have wings.

Let me know what you think. I think that depending on what color the fabric is will determine the color of her hair. I left the yarn in a loop so that it wouldn’t unravel. Of course if it unravels it might look more like curly hair. Just some things to think about.

So I attempted to make another doll. This time I made the pattern bigger and gave her some funky pink hair and a heart shaped face. She also has a pretty purple butterfly on her tummy. Joshua asked me what I named her. I told him she didn’t have a name yet and asked him what we should name her. He said to name her Holly. So Holly it is.
