Here are two friendship bags I made today using Rachel’s Tutorial. The one on the right I am keeping. I sewed the lining in backwards. I seam ripped it and ended up sewing it in backwards again. I know…I laughed too after I screamed. I did manage to learn from that lesson and get the second bag right. I am mailing it off to my partner after I finish a bigger bag that I am making her too. Andrew seems to like my little bag. He has been carrying it around. It is just his size. I think I will make him one out of boy material. Boys can have tote bags too. LOL.
He thinks he is getting ready to get yelled at for having Mommies bag. Do you think he gets told no a lot?
What a great way to start the day. I won these 8″ fabric Sheers from Michele @ The Quilting Gallery. I am so excited. Thank you Michele for having the give away. And thank you to Simplicity for donating them.
She is having a give away this Friday too. A June Tailor Ruler. Who wouldn’t love a new ruler. I have left a comment have you? Here is a link to the give away. Friday Give Away
Here is my finished mini quilt. I really hope my partner likes it. I mailed it Tuesday. It measure around 16 x 20. I used my rotary cutter to make the stems. So none of them are the same. that was fun. The grass I cut free hand with scissors. The only thing I used a template for was the flower. I think the background fabric is my favorite part. I wanted something with some movement in it. Not just a blender or a solid. Then I pulled colors out of it for the flowers.
Do you ever wonder what to do with the left over selvage after cutting your fabrics? I came across this Selvage Blog this morning and thought I would share it with my blogging friends.
Also I wanted to let everyone know that I will be a guest blogger on the Quilting Gallery site this month. I am scheduled for the 25th. Michele said she would let me know if the date changes.
