Love Wall Hanging

I posted recently about a WIP. It is now finished. It took me a day to really think about where I wanted to go. My original vision just wasn’t panning out. Usually I don’t have this problem. A BIG Thank you to those of you who posted helpful ideas. I went kind of quilting crazy on it though. It is for a swap partner who lives in Oklahoma. I hope she loves it.

Two Color Strip Quilt Pattern

It took about 3 hours and a few kid friendly distractions to write the instructions for this free quilt pattern today. It looks more complicated than it really is. It is made up of 6 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch blocks and 12 1/2 inch blocks. If you can sew squares and rectangles you can make this quilt. If you have any questions please email me@ holly@fabricmom.com.

Just wanted to note that the fabric requirements are 3 yards of the beige and 4 of the red. This is a little over estimated for error.

Tina here is one just for you. :)

Art Quilt

I made this cute little art quilt yesterday. I hand drew the design on a piece of super muslin. I used a black fabric marker to color it in. I looked through my stash and found this vibrant red and black material. The quilt measure a little over 10 inches square. I just love it.

Fat Quarter Friday – 30’s Red Reproduction Fabric

So I goofed and got side tracked yesterday. I could just kick myself. Sorry to all of you faithful bloggers who came to see the fat quarter. I am giving away the red 30’s material again. It was a big hit. I just love it. I made Andrew a baby quilt using it. It is close to my heart. Hugs to you all.

Fat Quarter Friday – Red 30’s Repro

Here is the next fat quarter. We will be busy Friday so I am posting now. I hope everyone has a great holiday. The picture turned out a little blurry. The colors in it are yellow and sage green.
